We will never have a life beyond the barriers and battles of our minds.

As we believe so shall be done unto us.

So many people settle for mediocrity and second best in life, not because they’re bad people, but because nobody’s ever told them there is an abundant life available if they made some new decisions starting with the barriers and battles of their minds and spirit.

God can give you a life that’s beyond anything you could ever imagine and thought possible. He wants to give us a life that reflects of His abundance and goodness.

But maybe you’ve been living a life, a story, that says otherwise.  You’re not good enough, smart enough, from the wrong family, the wrong race, lack education, whatever.

If this is you, chances are you’re living a life of defeat and struggle instead of victory and abundance.

It’s time to divorce your story and marry the truth.

It’s time to step up and step out in faith.

It’s time to change your life and make this year the best ever.

It’s time to declare in your life what God has promised you.

An idea that changed my life a long time ago can be summarised in five words:

“You reap what you sow.”

One of the greatest challenges I see in the world today is the belief of entitlement.

Many people live life with an attitude that the world owes them something. That if for some reason they drew the shortest straw, they are entitled to more from others. They deserve more because they have less. And they can demand ceaselessly until they feel the cosmic debt has been repaid.

It’s an interesting idea but that’s not how life works. In fact, that’s not how the universe works.

It seems that Creation is built on a different set of principles; laws if you will.

One such law is called the Law of Giving

This law states that nothing in this universe is static and that the universe operates through dynamic exchange. That means the flow of life is nothing more than the harmonious interaction of all the elements and forces within creation. Cause and effect so to speak.

Consequently, every relationship in creation is essentially one of give and take. It’s a constant circulation of energy. Hence, the more you give the more you receive. It’s a never ending cycle.

Jesus taught this same principle when he said,

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38).

To receive abundance in your life you must give abundantly first. Not just in a material sense but in principle.

Whether it is material, emotional or spiritual abundance; it all has to flow freely through my life in order for it to flow into my life.

To be affluent, in all aspects, one must allow this natural principle of giving and receiving to flow through your life.

Interestingly enough, according to some experts, the word affluence comes from the root word affluere which means “to flow to.” Affluence in its essence therefore means “to flow in abundance.”

What does this mean for you?

Simply this, whatever you want more of in your life, you must allow to flow from your life first.

Give, and it will be given to you.”

Whatever gift you pour out will be poured back into your lap.

This is the natural order of things. That is the way the universe works because that is the principle Creation is built on.

Therefore, allow abundance to flow into your life by allowing it to flow from your life first.

God, through the teachings and life of Jesus and confirmed by His creation, offers you a great understanding and key to an enriched and overflowing life.

But it is up to each of us to decide whether you will allow the flow of abundance through your lives or block it.

Remember that an open hand is good for giving and receiving, whereas a closed fist is good for neither.

When you disrupt or actively block the flow of grace, abundance, love, peace, joy, kindness, charity, and life through you, you are essentially making it impossible for any of that to flow back into your own life also.

If you feel you want more out of life or want you spiritual life to deepen, not just on an emotional level but truly spiritual, join us weekly at Trinity.

This theme of an abundant life flows like a golden thread through everything taught and shared.

May light and peace fill your life.
